Chris Christie and Barbara Buono made a flurry of appearances this weekend in a last ditch effort to generate the largest win by a Republican governor in New Jersey in decades (if you are Christie) or stave off an embarrassing margin of defeat (if you are Buono).
Within the state, the big story was Christie allegedly lashing out at a teacher who questioned him in Somers Point — along with a twitter pick of the apparently enraged governor.
Outside of the state, the big story was the supposed “land mines” identified by Mitt Romney’s team in vetting Christie as a VP nominee, as detailed in the new book Double Down by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.
Otherwise, Janet Babin of WNYC took an in-depth look at Christie’s economic record, while Barbara Buono enjoyed a one-on-one interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd on Monday morning.
If you think you can take a rest from New Jersey politics after Tuesday’s election, NJ.com’s Darryl Isherwood says, “No way!” and outlines seven political stories to watch.
And, lest you think we have forgotten Cory Booker, NJTV has an interview with the new Senator’s old nemesis Sharpe James, who says that Booker will make a better Senator than Newark Mayor.
