Now, the state has announced that dozens of municipalities will recieve additional funding, and those who received too much will see reductions, all thanks to Scott’s investigative reporting. It’s still unclear whether all of the issues uncovered in the investigation have been resolved, but towns like Hoboken, Jersey City, Atlantic City, and Belmar certainly aren’t complaining.
In fact, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer knows exactly who was responsible for correcting the state’s mistakes. “The mistakes that were made would never have been rectified if it weren’t for the investigative journalism of NJ Spotlight,” she said in a statement.
